Downs Red is a small to medium fluffy red fimbriated cactus type. To me it looks like a giant red sea anemone, a very fun one to grow. Very striking in the garden and decent as a cut flower. Medium height plants.
We grow flowers in Wingello, and flowers and veg in Penrose, two small rural villages in the NSW Southern Highlands. We acknowledge that we farm on unceded Gundungarra Country, and pay respect to Elders, past and present of the Gundungarra people, and extend this respect to all First Nations and Torres Strait Islands people.
