Hound's Ear (Bupleurum rotundifolium)
50 SEEDS APPROX.
All seeds are grown right here on the farm in the NSW Southern Highlands. Seed freshly harvested in December 2024 and January 2025.
Bupleurum is absolutely one of the best spring filler and landscape plants you can grow! Frothy, acid green, tall wiry heads dance in the wind, above pale blue foliage.
Self sows freely if left to do so.
HOW TO GROW: Sow seeds directly into a prepared garden bed in autumn once the weather has cooled down. Cover with 2-3mm soil as it like dark to germinate. Keep moist while waiting for germination which can take up to 3 weeks. Seedlings are tiny, wiry and maroon. Alternatively, you can sow indoors in a tray - surface sow but cover the tray with an empty tray for darkness and keep moist and cool while waiting for germination.
