This is a custom seed mix of my favourite Larkspur varieties: Earl Grey, Smokey Eyes, Summer Skies mix, and a tiny bit of Fancy Pink for good measure.
Larkspur is a beautiful cool hardy annual flower that can reach 180cm tall! It makes a beautiful fresh or dried cut flower.
COOL SEASON HARDY ANNUAL
WHEN TO SOW: Larkspur do not like the heat. Best sown in mid autumn to early winter when soils have cooled.
HOW TO GROW: Larkspur is best sown directly into a prepared garden bed in autumn to very early spring. Cover with 3-5mm soil as darkness is required for germination. Keep soil moist, but not wet, while waiting for seeds to germinate. Thin to 15cm - 20cm between plants. Pinch whwn 10-15cm tall to maximise stem production.
Larkspur can also be sown indoors into cells/pots from mid autumn and planted out during the cooler months.
