Zinnia 'Pastel Farm Mix' (Zinnia elegans)
20 SEEDS APPROX
All seeds are grown right here on the farm in the NSW Southern Highlands.
This is an open pollinated mix of pastel shades zinnias ranging from small to large flowers. Seed is saved from the volunteer plants every year. Some plants produce small baby pink flowers, others produce pale lilac, pastel peach and lemon, to a bright pink and orange. A lovely cheerful zinnia mix, and great flowers for floristry.
WARM SEASON TENDER ANNUAL
WHEN TO SOW: Zinnia deeply resent the cold. Do not sow too early. In my climate, I like to direct seed my first succession at the end of October.
HOW TO GROW: Sow seeds directly into a prepared garden bed in spring after your last frost date. Cover with 3-5mm soil. Keep soil moist, but not wet, while waiting for seeds to germinate. Alternatively sow into pots/cells then plant out in the garden once it is warm enough - late spring is a good guide.
